My Little Pixie's Bowtique!

I'm very excited about this blog! I am a fan of a business on facebook called My Little Pixie's Bowtique. They have the most adorable little bows.

Recently, I saw a post from My Little Pixies asking for testers for their new baby bows. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first about anything fitting in Daphne's hair but I thought maybe they would work with Delia's fine hair.

I sent an e-mail, despite my doubts, asking to be a tester of the product in exchange for professional quality portraits to be used for advertising. I'm so glad that I did! I was blessed with the 2 pack of posh posies (it's an adorable name, I know!), a butterfly bow for Delia, and a newborn headband complete with a big posh posy. In a house full of girls there's nothing better than new hairbows!

When I got them in the mail I was so pleased to find that they were even more adorable in person. They were also very well made. There weren't any little parts that could fall off and be eaten or seams coming up that could be pulled off and destroyed by my ever so lovely and gentle little girls. Ha!

Now it was time for the big test.......Would they fit in Daphne's hair? I took a tiny posh posy and clipped it in the front of Daphne's minuscule, very fine, hair (if you can even call it that... it's more like fuzz) and despite my doubt it actually clipped and stayed in! I was ecstatic! Daphne with a hair bow that's not attached to a headband was a miracle!

Then came the even bigger test..... Would it stay in at church for 3 hours of play in the nursery? YES!  These little baby posh posy clips are fantastic.

They definitely passed the mommy test and they passed the Daphne test as well. She loved having a hair bow like big sister, Delia.

Delia's butterfly bow was also great. It was fastened to the same little baby clippie and stayed perfectly in her hair through a day of playing. Delia loved having a big pink butterfly in her hair as opposed to a normal flower and has been asking to wear it ever since.

Needless to say I knew I had to provide excellent portraits to show off My Little Pixie's phenomenal hair clippies. They will definitely be keeping my business!

If you're looking for cute, creative, affordable, good quality hair clips that actually stay in make sure to look up My Little Pixie's Bowtique on facebook. I promise you'll love them!

The Randall Family

This is the Randall family. I had the pleasure of doing their Christmas portraits last year.

The instant I saw Brody's adorable argyle sweater and Converse high tops I knew this was going to be an adorable trendy photo shoot. There's nothing cuter than little boys in high top Converse!

The shoot started off with an interesting twist. We had decided to meet at a certain park that was further west than I had ever been in Phoenix. Upon arriving, looking around and seeing that everything was brown and gross, we decided to drive even further down the road to a fantastic country club. I'm so glad we did!

The nature shots we got were absolutely phenomenal, almost Hawaii-esque if you ask me.

Brody and his dad looked dapper (yes, I still use that word) in their complimentary sweater vests. They also had a lot of fun running around and Brody loved riding on his dad's shoulders.

Brody and his mom also had a lot of fun playing too. Mom's are like human playgrounds. They're always there to spin their babies round and round and to hug away some tears in the process. There's no comfort like a momma's arms.

I brought along the few boy props I have (which is actually pretty impressive in my house full of girls). I'm so glad I did. I love little boys in fireman hats! Brody had a lot of fun pushing around the little car but honestly I think his parents had more fun watching him!

After a couple of minutes of pushing the car we decided to try a rousing game of swinging Brody back and forth while upside down. We thought surely this would be a smile to his face... not so much, but I still love the way these shots turned out! It's life in "real-time." After a little comforting we decided to go for a little walk and got some great shots along the way.

Little Brody was ready to smile again so we settled in for some family shots.

After getting some classic portraits we wandered over to some steps by the lake and got some more shots of little Brody and his mom and dad.

I want to say a big thank you to the Randall family for letting me photograph your family at play. This final shot is of the Christmas mail-out that I put together for them.

Daffodil Photography began with the birth of my two daughters. I wanted to capture every moment and detail of their lives. I now have branched out and want to provide families with affordable, creative, personalized photography. I love capturing families in the moment, playing, laughing, and having a great time together. Also, capturing little details like those sweet newborn smiles and toes, precious teddies, and missing front teeth. Each milestone is important and it's my job to capture them and allow you to have the memory in print. I enjoy each opportunity I get to work with families and I hope yours will be next!
